Hatice Özdemir Kocasakal, who graduated from Marmara University’s Faculty of Law, is a professor of private international law.
After completing her bachelor’s degree with top grades, she pursued her master’s and doctoral studies at Marmara University’s Department of Social Sciences. Simultaneosuly, she began her academic career at the Law Faculty of Marmara University and currently holds the position of professor in the Department of Private International Law at the Law Faculty of Galatasaray University in Istanbul.
Prof. Özdemir Kocasakal is one of the outstanding names in her field and has specialized in particular in arbitration and sports law. In addition to focusing on topics such as the determination of applicable law in various disputes, the recognition and application of foreign judgments in Turkey, and the application of foreign law in Turkey, she has also published extensively on the conclusion of electronic contracts, the application of the Vienna Convention on Private International Law, arbitration and CAS, and provides consultancy services on these topics. She has a good command of written and spoken French and an intermediate level of English.
